Kristopher Storm Knien

Kristopher Storm Knien, originally from Seattle, currently makes his home in Austin, Texas. He holds the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music degrees in Organ Performance from the University of Washington, where he studied with Dr. Carole Terry. After graduation he undertook further studies in organ repertoire and improvisation with Dr. Naji Hakim, organist at l'église de la Trinité, Paris, France. Further studies followed with Leo Abbott, organist at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Boston. In August 2005 Storm was appointed Director of Music at St Albert the Great Catholic Church, Austin. Storm is concurrently pursuing the Master of Music degree at the University of Texas, Austin, studying with Dr. Gerre Hancock. Storm's interests in music extend beyond the classical realm to jazz and electronic music.
